I am currently a senior pursuing a B.F.A. in Design, Technology, and Management at Texas Tech University, where I concentrate on lighting design. This field allows me to engage in one of my greatest passions: using light to enhance emotion and storytelling within a theatrical space. My approach to lighting design is driven by a strong belief in the power of illumination to convey complex emotions and narratives, transforming a stage into an immersive experience for the audience.
Throughout my college years, I’ve spent my summers as the primary lighting designer at a local community theatre in my hometown. This role has given me invaluable hands-on experience, from designing for productions to troubleshooting technical challenges in real time. Additionally, I serve as a counselor for children’s camps that the theatre hosts during both summer and winter breaks, helping to foster young talent and introduce them to the world of theatre. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for mentorship and the role of community in creative work.
My technical proficiency lies primarily with ETC Eos consoles, but am quick to adapt to new technologies, constantly seeking opportunities to expand my skill set. Outside of my work in theatre, I have a variety of personal interests. I enjoy crocheting and knitting, both of which allow me to relax and create something tangible in my downtime. I’m also an avid reader and find fulfillment as an active godparent, cherishing the role I play in my godchildren's lives. These pursuits balance my life, bringing me a sense of creativity and joy beyond the stage.
